Hey everyone, welcome to Mission Halo. Here are a few primary bits of information you should know and follow.
The Plot
The Mission Halo RPG is based on the video game series Halo, and takes place after the end of Halo 2. Many extraordinary and unpredictable things have happened. Truth has escaped from Halo with the Master Chief on his ship. They have been out of contact for quite some time now, and so we do not know the current situation with Truth heading toward Earth. We do know that he is planning to get his hands on another Halo and activate it. This cannot happen! All life as we know will be extinguished from the galaxy. Since Truth betrayed the Covenant, they have now formed they're own army on they're own called the "Rebels". The Rebels and the UNSC are now on the same side for the purpose to kill Truth and end this forsaken war. Things are going smoothly for the time-being as each army is getting stronger, and larger. This war will be tough, soldiers will die, we may lose, we may win, this is Mission Halo.
Spelling & Grammar
I need not to explain this, you know what you guys got to do. Make sure your roleplay makes sense, not too many spelling errors, because lets face it, no one wants to read a sloppy roleplay with spelling errors and grammar mistakes. There is a spell check at the bottom of the page that you can use for each post, so theoretically, you should never have a spelling error.
Roleplaying Perspective
When roleplaying in this RPG, we strongly recommend that you use 3rd person perspective when depicting actions in red.(see speech colors) Third person perspective is a much better way to depict environment, atmosphere, and action than first person perspective. It is often harder for the reader to connect to another player's actions when reading 1st person. Please remember to use 3rd person perspective in all roleplay.
Battles
Battles can only be started by the Guardians. No other player can just start a random battle for the hell of it. Throughout battles, which often last up to 8 or 9 pages long, the guardians will post narrative posts that point the players in the right direction to complete the objective. Just like starting a battle, the guardians are the only ones aloud to end a battle.
The Guardians
The Guardians are the ones that lead the RPG. They accept army requests, grade training, narrate battles, and are incharge of the RPG. They are different from moderators however, who just maintain a healthy roleplaying environment and actually play the RPG, the guardians do not play the RPG, they just lead it. Hey, someone has to do it. If you ever want to ask a guardian something, just PM him. We'll be more than happy to help you.
These are the rules to date, use them to your advantage so you don't get your ass kicked.
